Why so many Mom Bloggers?
I didnt realize there were so many more mom bloggers out there...Now I feel more comfortable in blogging! However, I still wonder why I blog... I can't write(meaning I'm not that great of a writer and I'm boring! So why do I blog? I don't know!!!! I just do! Is it for business? No! Actually this blog should be disconnected from any business(s) I run online... but, umm, they are not...
I just want to know this..Who's reading mom blogs? Are mom blogs that fascinating? Is the life of a mom in general fascinating? Why the sudden popularity?
Edited to Add: I wrote the above post over 2 and a half years ago ( in Jan '05) on a whim when the explosion of mommy blogs were just beginning! Thanks! I just came across yours. I appreciate the link :)
I just started a mommy blog and I really enjoy it. I try to give advice with daily posts about annual topics. I just started a week or so ago though so I don't have much of a crowd yet. You can surf through other mom blogs at

Good Luck with your blog!
Hi Petite Mommy!
I'm a blogging mom too. Have been doing it since late April, so not very long. My "twist" is that I am a disabled mom writing about my daily experiences with my active, healthy toddler daughter. Blogging is a blast! I'm thrilled to reach all moms and especially the disabled moms who can't find many resources out there to assist them in their daily lives.
Have fun with your blog. I'm glad I found you!
I'm interested in starting my own blogger site any ideas on how and what it may cost?
Just a note off topic As a mom I have a huge pet peeve with other parents who let their child(ren) out to play the day after they just finished throwing up and or running a real temperature (100 & up). Seriously I'm glad the little one is feeling better, and having two myself I've already been vommited on more than I'd like to say, is it that hard to say "No, you need to wait a day or two before you run out and play with your (non vommitting friends). Thanks for the vent.
Alicia
I've just started -- have a blog where is share traditon ideas for families. I am on the way to creating another where I can just talk abou the day to day fun stuff
Hello ladies!
I think we like blogging because it reminds us we are bright, stimulating people even when our days might not be!! I have just started this week with "I'm Not Crazy, I have Twins".
I don't usually read blogs but this post caught my attention. It's a good question. I've often wondered myself. I had one blog on blogger about my adventures into the work at home world but then just recently moved it and changed it to more of a work related blog. I guess I felt like I was too boring to just blog about my everyday life. So now I'm working on blogging a bit more regularly. I don't get much traffic if any traffic at all to it yet but I'm hopeful. LOL

Good Luck with your blog!

Hey, I just found your blog and enjoyed it. I like "average people" blogs because it makes me realize just how much we all really have in common when it comes to families and children etc.

I think 1/some bloggers are just fantastic writers and I'd be reading them whatever their medium of choice, and 2/some bloggers are just sisters and through their own trials and struggles and joys we are able to make sense of our own.
Class dismissed. ;)
Just finished a double tag team session with my two under 2 babys, CJ-21 months and Angelina-6 weeks (that's when one stops and the other one starts) and just discovered this blog, as a fellow Libra, this blog is just fantastic and kept me scrolling for more THANXXXXXX!
I love all your stuff.
I make and sell Waldorf toys.

I read a ton of mom blogs. It's just nice to know there are other moms out there that feel the same way I do, you know?
Hi,
I am an artist who just started my own website and I am trying to get the word out. I would like to offer every mom out there a chance to have a free mouse wall letter (http://www.wawallletters.com/mousewallletters.htm). I am giving away one personalize mouse wall letter reproduction every week until December 1 2006. All you have to do is fill out the form that tells me which mouse drawing you want and what you want the wall letter to say. The options are. First Name, First Initial, Birth Weight and Birth Date. I never sell or give away any of your personal information. I am hoping you will enjoy your wall letter and tell a friend.
Thank you,
Tansy OBryant
I will have to check that one out. I had a blog a few years ago but was not really into it. Now it's like a release for me - sometimes it's just nice to get my thoughts out on virtual paper.
I enjoy your blog!! Here is the link to mine:

Hello Ladies,
So I came across this blog and it got me thinking. Its hard trying to stay at home and still feel like you can contribute financially. Well I know I feel that way. Recently my husband decided to quit his job and run this review site about home business opportunities. So naturally I started to peek in on him.
I was thinking "I wonder if there is anything like that for me" so I started looking at all of these business that he evaluates, and most of them are scams so you have to be careful, but I came across a couple that weren't . There is one in particular that has worked pretty well for me and I thought I would shre it. In fact, I wish someone would have told me about it.
So at the risk of sounding "salesy...here it is. Its called Winning In The Cash Flow Business". It turns out they are on TV too, so I felt a bit better knowing they are one of the largest home business opportunities out there. I won't go into details, but if you have sometime to check it out, you should http://www.witcfb.com/offer/?img=8&kbid=1718

I'm a new blogger also. I'm trying to learn how to spice up my writing a bit! I started out with one idea, but the more Mom/Baby Blogs I found, the more I started to try to change it. Anyway, great site. I love reading blogs and I see how alike we are!
Cool blog! I'm a web designer working with a client who's using the blog format to publish her fictional story about women who are mothers, and who have made important decisions that are changing their lives ... so far it's a good read, please come see this work-in-progress!

Hello,
I just started a web site for a product for families to help them cuddle with more comfort than ever before. It is also a birp pad that STAYS PUT. I created it with my Mom and we now produce them. They are wonderful for all ages. My 6 year old daughter uses it every night to cuddle with me in comfort! Any feed back on the site and product would be great! No more sore cheek bones from laying on that hard shoulder bone during cuddle time! Check it out at:
www.cuddle-time.com.
PS I love this site for blogging and Mom information!
Thank you,
Staci
Hi, everyone. It's so good to know that we're all in the same boat! Nobody understands like a fellow Mom! There is so much joy in parenting, but so many little details that can wear us down and make us forget to enjoy this magical time- it doesn't last forever! A friend and I have just started a web page with parenting thoughts and advice. We've got a really beautiful movie on it called "Who am I". Moms, can you watch it and let me know what you think, please?
It's Parenting withpleasure.com, and click on the orange button.
Thanks!
Hello Ladies,
Looks like I am not the only new mommy blogger. I started my blog on April fools day (2007) because I thought I was a fool to do so. My original intentions were to gear my topics around interior design, but have found, as always, this mom thing consumes my day to day, even my thoughts.
Not long ago I would have blogged all day about design, however now discussions of Mac n cheese, germs, and diaper blow-outs seem to take over the keyboard.
It is fun to see so many ladies coming together in cyber space. My grandmother tells me stories of her child rearing years, and how women in her neighborhood would gather at one house and iron all their laundry for the week while letting their children play together. Who would have thought many years later us gals would find a way to gather with other moms all over the world, on a daily basis, and without leaving our own houses!
I love it!
Now if we could only figure out a way to get the kids together and all the ironing done.
Have a good one!
Stephanie

Hi Petite Mommy and others!
I just came across your blog and I have found the world of mom blogs and love it! I had no idea there were so many blogging moms out there!
As a stay at home and "work one day a week" mom I enjoy talking with other moms who are tackling the small daily adventures of raising children to the best of their abilities. I am a speech therapist and work with children on that one day a week.
With a little help I've started my mom blog about speech therapy with helpful hints and ideas on how moms can help their kids with their speech and communication. I get asked so many questions when talking to other moms about their kids' speech development and I love it.
Now I can tell more moms and hopefully help those who have questions about their own kids speech development. I hope my ideas will help. Giving our children the best we can is one of the most important jobs we'll do!
Heidi

Keep at it! You enjoy it, you're good at it and it's a great way to blow off steam after the little ones are in bed! Good luck!
here's another nice mom blog:

love the posts!
I was wondering the same thing. Who are these other blogging moms. I googled to find out and found you... and this post.
I blog, by the way, to keep from boring my husband with my histrionics. Hence my blog name. It's good for my marriage, methinks. Although, not so good for the housekeeping.
I think we blog for all the reasons anyone does -- therapy, expression, to find a community, creating a space that belongs to just us. My blog is about my rather dramatic childhood, so I am a mom and a blogger, but not exclusively a mom-blogger. Nonetheless, my kids come into it because they are so central to my life. Like your blog a lot!
Just found the best baby clothing store! It's called Rebel Ink Baby. They have cute, yet sassy sayings such as, "My Dad Rocks," Party Tonight My Crib 3am," and a personal favorite, "Eat at Mom's!" Guarenteed to make you smile. You can visit them online at www.rebelinkbaby.com Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Hi, ive just run across this moms blog site and think its pretty cool! Im just another mom with way to much to do during the short day that never seems to end at times, and have to wait till 11pm and on to do something for me. Does any mom out there just want to talk some adult talk rather than baby talk along with 7 year old girl drama talk? Boy do you forget how to speak sometimes when all we do is talk with kids all day. Dont any mother get me wrong its great having children they are so full of life and excitment I love them to death, but we moms need a chit chat break because you know we all have lots to say. So I guess you can see Im in desperate need of some quality women to mom talk.

I just now compiled a list of 10 only for moms social networking websites and I am sure you will love it. Please have a look at it and do digg it. http://www.nofullstop.com/2007/09/17/10-everpink-only-for-moms-social-networking-websites/
When you have a kid, you realize pretty quickly that you need other moms. Doesn't matter how many other friends you have, you need moms who are going through the same things at the same time. That's why I blog, and that's why other moms read our blogs.
I don't blog. Thought about it but I don't feel like I have anything truly profound to say to the world.

From your Command Center you can organize your family’s medical information & create wellness reminders, find & rate local service providers, plan & book the perfect vacation, get a handle on your photos, create & plan events and parties, stay in touch with your community using the innovative “HeadsUp” local broadcast feature, plus find inspiration for tonight’s dinner.
I think many moms blog out of quiet desperation--lots of us had careers before we became moms, many of us now stay home full time or part time and the lack of adult interaction during the day can make you crazy--lots of thoughts swirl in your head with no way to get them out. I just started blogging and my link is below. Thanks!

It's so funny, I just recently started my very own Mom Blog and I was thinking the same thing.
Wondering if I would get any readers. I thought hmmm...why would anyone want to read me blog, but, I just think about some of the blogs that caught my attention, like this one, and it reassures me that we do read mom blogs, not only because we relate to what other moms are going through but to gain advice, tips, and knowledge of how other moms go about there daily lives.
My Mom Blog is about my boys. Everthing and Anything. I just started it so anyone is welcome to stop by and check it out at http://atime2smile.blogspot.com
