I am happy...Are you?

The Internet is a strange place. It can bring up hate and ignorance so easily especially on blogs. People are quick to make rude and mean comments when they are hiding behind their computer in the comfort of their own home. If they were in public, I seriously doubt they would act the same way...atleast I hope not...

I dont think I have ever made a really bad comment on the Internet. I am a happy person by nature and dont see a reason for all the hate. We are human, we are capable of making mistakes, we arent perfect...and we choose how we live our lives.
You choose how you live your life. The thing is, is that the Internet has made it possible for us to showcase our lives in the form of blogs and websites. Blogs are like diaries and we can write what we want, show what we want. You are given the opportunity to take a peek inside the true personal life of another person via their blog. You can take it or leave it. It's your choice. In blogs, we tend to truly speak our minds because like I mentioned earlier, its like our personal diary. Some of us choose to say things that others would not say on their blog but may be thinking at one time or another. Just because I or you choose not to share that doenst mean we dont think it or want to say it. We have the option of sharing a lot or a little. I normally share good stuff on my blog. I rarely, if ever, focus on the negative or post bad things but that doesnt mean I have a perfect life. It just means I choose not to share those parts of my life. My family and I are actually going through something right now but it's not up for discussion... I wont be sharing it...
I wish everyone could be happy. I know it wont happen overnight, if ever...but we can try a little harder...Life is precious...

I am happy...Are you?

Here are 2 things (my babies) that make me happy daily...

I also have a wonderful husband & family that is very supportive and loving...thank you...

At the last count (about a week ago) I had received a total of 2,890 comments since my blog began in October 2004 (even that doesn't tell the full story since I didn't have the capacity to receive comments until about three months later). Out of all those, I have only ever received one bad comment (and even that was attempting to be sarcastic, I think, and failed miserably). Be of good cheer - there are far more nice people out there than nasty! :)

Yep, the web-nasties have free reign to smart off whenever they want because they can hide behind their puters. When people feel anonymous, then you get to see what they are really like.

But, I must say, you show a great deal of charity and candor, and I find that quite refreshing. I hope it goes as well for you as you hope it does for others. And since you obviously plan on hanging out with us here on the web, you may want to grow some thick skin. When the nasties find out that you are happy, they will come out of the woodwork, chanting "We can't have that."

Remember, if you don't let them get to you, they can't touch you. The idiots need your permission to make you feel lousy, angry or whatever. Personally, I'd rather make people laugh.

So here's my parting gift, "When I go, I want to die in Louisiana, so I can stay active in politics."

Okay, okay, here's one more I got from a lawyer's website. "What's the difference between a lawyer and a pit bull?"

Answer: Jewelery.

Thank you for your kind words. By the way, I have found a way to make heaven laugh convulsively. They next time you pray, in a very serious tone, tell God ALL your plans.

What wonderful pictures! In answer to your question: yes, I am happy and I will not tolerate those who are incapable of being at least somewhat happy.

Cute kid!

I'm happy, or at least I'm content, which is nearly as good.

I think wrt blogs, that we have to remember that we only know as much about each writer as they choose to reveal, and common courtesy should dictate the rest.

Thanks for stopping by my site today :)

Luckily no mean comments on my blogs, but yes, I do know what you mean. I see mean comments on forums all the time.

Although I'm not a bubbly person all the time I do still watch how I word things.

And when I'm heated, I step back and calm down before I post a reply that way I leave a post that does speak my mind, but in a nice way.

Good topic. And adorable kids!
