Milk-Free Baby -No, our baby doesn't drink Milk

Here is how it all started with our milk-free baby...
I breastfed my son until he was a year old (not too long ago). I still breastfeed at night if he needs to. I also supplemented with alimentum (since he had a protein sensitivity) in a bottle when we were out. Recently we were encouraged by his doctor to give him low fat milk. We tried that. It made him ill. We then tried soy milk. It made him puke for about a week! So now our baby is on a milk-free diet. No milk at all. He gets water in a bottle for a nap if he absolutely "needs" a bottle. I try not to give him a bottle too often because I dont want him to get used to it. I'm actually trying to get rid of it too! I feel awful for stopping everything around the same time.
Another thing, our baby is a picky eater. For a while he ate everything and now all of a sudden he doesnt like much of anything. I need some nutritious calcium rich food suggestions for him...HELP!!!! :)

Low fat milk for a child? That sounds totally opposite of everything I've ever heard!
Here is a reference for high calcium foods:

P.S. Have you ever thought of trying goat's milk? I've known allergic kids who thrived on goat's milk.
Hey, we're all vegan (no meat/dairy/animal products) so we know quite a bit about calcium.
Cows and goats make breast milk for their babies not for humans. Those same cows and goats get their calcium by eating dark greens. Our bodies can absorb this calcim much more efficiently by just eating dark greens ourself.
I don't know how old your son is now but here are some suggestions:
rice milk
almonds (great source)
spinnach (great source)
green kale
black kale (great source)
I can't stand some brands of soy milk and others I love. If it's not a brand thing, maybe your son is alergic to soy!?!
My partner doesn't like soymilk really at all (except chocolate). She and our daughter mostly drink rice milk. It's fortified with LOTS of good stuff (like calcium) and can be found at most health food stores.
I know this website may not sound very nice but I really think you would be very happy with all the really good/well resarched information!
good luck!
