Baby Tooth Accident

Our little man ( will be 14 months on Saturday) had an accident today and chipped one of his front teeth. It really hurt him and almost made me cry. I felt so bad for him and so helpless! He has really been getting into things lately and he loves to imitate his 4 yr old brother. I guess that is what 14 month old's do! I found some information online and I will call his doctor and dentist just to make sure everything is fine. I am sure it is since it is barely chipped but still I want his tooth fixed.
Has your baby ever chipped a tooth or do you know anyone who has?

Poor little man. I haven't had any tooth accidents with my 16 month old - and hope I don't ever!

He has fallen down, gotten boo boos and all that fun stuff more often then I'd care to admit. lol. He is such a rough and tumble little boy already!

My daughter chipped her front tooth yesterday. It's almost half gone, clean across, in a slightly curved shape. While she wasn't in any real pain (in fact, we didn't even notice till way after the actual fall, since she didn't complain about her mouth) her tooth root is exposed and we are taking her to the dentist today to see if there was root damage or whatever. I really, really, really want to get it fixed. I have the sinking feeling they are going to tell me they can't bond it becuase it is a baby tooth, which sucks. I would love to have it repaired completley.

Did you get your baby's tooth repaired?

My 17 month old fell and chipped both his front teeth yesterday. We took him to a pediatric dentist today and the nerves were not exposed, but the loss is significant enough that he scheduled us for an appointment in two weeks to fix them. So yes, you can get them repaired even though they are just baby teeth. In fact, it was recommended to prevent decay since the dentin is exposed. Hope this helps.
