Serious Bandwidth Problems

Okay, so many of you may have noticed that in the last couple of days instead of getting my site you will get the message "bandwidth limit exceeded". We are working on this. There is a problem with my site server and unknown files being accessed way too much. I think someone is trying to hack the site. I dont know why someone would want to though. Really, what would be the point? Anyway, things should be back to normal in a couple of days...hopefully.

Daycare Dropout

Yes, it really happened. Our 4 year old started part-time daycare a couple weeks ago and he decided not to go back this week due to his dislike of napping and boredom.
His teacher called us and told us he was getting bored so I didnt make him go back. He doesnt have to go right now and I only signed him up to socialize with other kids. The good thing is that now I save over $150 per month by not sending him. We will start back up in August with a REAL preschool. Like he says, "one with chairs, pencils, and a chalkboard".

I am in Love...

with a new show called "Greys Anatomy" on ABC. It comes on at 10pm on Sunday nights. I wonder how I have gone this long without knowing this show existed. Maybe it's because it is in a weird time slot...and I think its only had a few episodes so far.

Grey's Anatomy reminds me of ER somewhat except with a different feel. The music and mood really makes this show unique. It also has a wonderfully diverse cast.

I havent been this excited about sunday nights in a long time!!! Now I just need to remember!!

In Home Mini Portrait Studio for the Amateur

I am attempting to create a mini in home portrait studio to take photos of my baby and preschooler. I am using cheap work lights and window lighting as my lighting equipment. So far, I have not produced any decent results...but I am having fun. Maybe I'll have something good to show soon. Until then you will get this...

Keep in mind that I am an amateur and am devouring loads of information daily right now to figure out what works and what does not work. I am not using a digital SLR. I am using a prosumer/advanced P&S camera ( I guess thats what they are called).

This is the first test photo I took... It had lots of shadows ( not good). I am going to try out a darker background later and possibly some other stuff... Wish me luck...

The Baby Who Bites and Eats Everything!!!

Our nine (almost 10) month old likes to bite. Usually he will only bite me and when I tell him no he just looks at me with that adorable grin and lets out a laugh! He has 6 teeth. They all came in around the same time...

Lately I have noticed he will also eat anything you give him. We had Chicken Rice Enchilada ( I have no idea if that word is spelled right)Tacos the other day and he ate them up with no problem. No, we didnt give him the taco shell...

Our nine month old is nothing like his older brother who will basically eat nothing except pizza, pizza rolls, pizza lunchables, pizza bread, chicken, and fruit. I'm serious...this child will go on a hunger strike if he doesnt get this unless he is at preschool. They have told me that he has eaten lunch everyday so far( this was his second week of going). Are these people magic? Because he took a nap there too and he hasn't had a nap in over a year. We have added an extra day to preschool each week since he likes it so well.

Oh Yeah...and this flower...

It seems like I am the only one who can appreciate this flower macro that I took.

My new found obsession with digital photography is taking up a lot of my precious time. Granted, I am not a professional photographer nor an advanced amateur for that matter but one day I may be... My husband says the digital photography forums are driving me crazy...oh well...

Rainy Day..Go Away..Please!

It's such an ugly, depressing, rainy day here today.

The Beginning...

of preschool... Our 4 yr. old started preschool today. He only went for a few hours and he had a lot of fun. He is only going a few hours a week to socialize and make some friends up here... Wish us luck for tomorow...

The circus from Hell...

We took our 2 little boys to the circus yesterday. Little did we know what was in store for us when we got there. It was dark, hot, and overcrowded. This was not the kind of circus I was used to. I was expecting it to be like the circus I went to as a child but it was not...

Even though it was cheap, stinky, hot, and dark..it still managed to put a smile on our 4 year old's face so I guess that is all that matters...

Many of you probably already know about www.dcresource.com but for those of you who don't, it's a very informative digital camera resource site that has been around since 1997 (yes, 1997...)

If you are looking for a new digital camera or want to know how to use your digital camera then this is the site that I recommend for you. If you want to see sample photos taken from several different digital cameras then check this site out.

It is complete with a free forum where you can see photos taken from users. The forums have been a blast for me lately...I'm really enjoying it and the members are really nice and quick to reply!

Easter was pretty pink...

How was your Easter? We had a wonderful time. Our kids had lots of fun too...and we were all sporting pink but JC (hubby) decided to take off his pink shirt (said it was too hot..lol...) before we could get a photo in...
