Going Away for the Weekend...

We are going away for the weekend and will be back Sunday. We have a graduation party to go to and we have to visit my husband's family. I'm sure our 4 year old will have tons of fun playing with all the boys around his age!

Piglets Big Movie - Current Favorite

Piglet's Big Movie is the current favorite in our home.

It's a family movie, it's a fun movie. It's centered around the theme and lesson of "You are never too small to do BIG things".
But, where did this suddden affinity for Winnie The Pooh come from? Our 4 year old boy normally isnt into Winnie The Pooh. In fact, I dont think he has ever watched a Winnie The Pooh cartoon up until Piglets Big Day. Now that is all he is wanting to watch!
What are your thoughts on this? Have your little ones seen this movie? If not, I suggest you go get the dvd for them to enjoy!

All About Me...really...

I was asked today why I blogged? So I'm going to start from the beginning and give you a whole background on me and how I happened upon the Internet...

Back in October 2003, while I was in the MBA program I had to make a site for a graduate class. After that ContestForMoms.com was born. I originally started this site as a hobby and just a fun place for moms with a directory of contests. It became a whole lot more. Within a few months, I had people emailing me to advertise on MY site. People wanted to give me money so I went with it. I later opened another site to give other moms information about working from home.Here it is HomeJobsForMoms.biz
Then in 2005 I started another site - OurSmartBaby.com - and I recently turned it completely into a blog.

Now about me and my family. I am a 28 year old Mom of 2 amazing little boys. I have an MBA degree. Currently my MBA degree is useless since I choose to stay at home with my children. I hope it will prove useful when I finally decide to enter the real workplace...if I have to...plus I will eventually have to pay off that $20,000 student loan. My husband is currently in grad school full time. He is pursuing an MSIS degree. It's basically a Masters Degree in Computers. He will be done in a year. He also has a website BlueGrassRivals.com
He is incredibly smart and talented (um, he's also sexy).

I started blogging because I can and because everyone else does. I'm not a writer. I'm a website Administrator. My blog is a way to let my viewers get to know me on a more personal level...and it's fun!

Nah! Not Really. I rarely get comments. I average about 3 per week. Apparently I'm above commenting...um, that's a joke.

A Day in the Park

It was very warm today so we took the boys to the park this evening and let them play for a while. It almost felt like summer had already started. It will be here soon and I'll be loving it!

The little one seriously loves to bite me...and it hurts! Every time he crawls over to me the first thing he does is munch on my thigh or one of my fingers...ouch!

Happy Mother's Day

I know it isnt officially Mother's Day ( It's actually Derby Day here in KY) yet but I dont plan on spending tomorow at the computer so I decided to go ahead and send out a Happy Mother's Day greeting to My Mother, My Sister's ( who are both Mothers), and all of the wonderful Mothers who visit my sites on a daily basis. Motherhood is very special. Cherish everyday as a Mother.

10 months old and 7 Teeth - My Baby Today!

For the last couple of days our 10 month old baby boy has been biting and chewing on everything. He has also been waking up during the night ( which he normally does not do often). I wasn't sure what was wrong until this morning when I saw a new bottom tooth. He now has 7 teeth! Now I know why he has been biting more than usual and been waking up during the night. I hope he takes a couple week's break from teething so I can get some much needed sleep.

May Fun in KY!

I took my little boys (and my camera) outside this evening for some playtime since it was so warm. I'm just glad it's no longer rainy and cold here. The sun is back out in full force..atleast for a day or two... I'm hoping this weekend is even more beautiful! How is your weather?

There's no place like home!

We are back from our mini-break! We left home Friday and got back home last night. Our kids had a fun time this weekend but were ready to come home. We are glad to be home and back to our regular schedule.
