Happy Birthday To You!

Our 2nd bundle of joy came into this world one year ago today a few minutes after 7am. At first we didnt know what to expect, we didn't know if we could handle 2 children so young. We felt like our first child was going to be left out and how could we love another as much as we already loved him. As soon as our 2nd boy was born, it all became clear. It was so easy to love 2 children and we have found out in the past year that we can, in fact, handle 2 childen. I couldn't imagine my life without both of them. This year has been full of new things, surprises, laughter, and so much happiness!

Older brother absolutely adores his younger brother. Taken last year around this time!

Happy Birthday Baby! We all love you!

My son's birthday is next Monday June 27th, 2005. He will be 1 year old. It's so hard to believe. This year has went by so quickly. We are having a party for him on Sunday. We are having a Madagascar theme. I thought all the little jungle animals were cute and instead of party hats we are having party lion faces! They are so cute! I'll post photos after the party.

Here is my darling almost 1year old. Mommy Loves You!

Funny ToothFairy Stories

My 4 year old and I were talking today and he was wondering about when he was going to lose his first teeth and what would happen. So I brought up the toothfairy. I told him that when he lost a tooth ( in about 2 years) that he could put it under his pillow and the toothfairy would leave him a gift. He said, "Okay, I want a car". I said, "You mean a toy car like the ones you have". He said, "No, a car like you and daddy have". Wow! He doesnt expect much from the toothfairy does he? Maybe I should convince my husband to pull a few teeth and stick them under his pillow so we can get a new SUV.

On another note, our 11 1/2 month old is teething again. He still only has eight teeth but some back teeth must be getting ready to come through. If your baby is teething, here is some information to help.

Happy Fathers Day!

"Walk a Little slower, Daddy." said a little child so small.
I'm following in your footsteps and I don't want to fall.

Sometimes your steps are very fast, sometimes they're hard to see;
So walk a little slower Daddy, for you are leading me.

Someday when I'm all grown up, You're what I want to be.
Then I will have a little child who'll want to follow me.

And I would want to lead just right, and know that I was true;
So, walk a little slower, Daddy, for I must follow you!!

A Father means so many things...
A understanding heart,
A source of strength and of support
Right from the very start.
A constant readiness to help
In a kind and thoughtful way.
With encouragement and forgiveness
No matter what comes your way.
A special generosity and always affection, too
A Father means so many things
When he's a man like you...

Happy Daddy Day~ We love you!

I want Blue Hair!

A few nights ago, my 4 year old and I were watching Pay it Forward before falling asleep. He saw Helen Hunt with blue hair and said that he liked her hair and thought it was pretty. Then he proceeded to say that not many people have hair like that! I'm glad he noticed...lol...

I am happy...Are you?

The Internet is a strange place. It can bring up hate and ignorance so easily especially on blogs. People are quick to make rude and mean comments when they are hiding behind their computer in the comfort of their own home. If they were in public, I seriously doubt they would act the same way...atleast I hope not...

I dont think I have ever made a really bad comment on the Internet. I am a happy person by nature and dont see a reason for all the hate. We are human, we are capable of making mistakes, we arent perfect...and we choose how we live our lives.
You choose how you live your life. The thing is, is that the Internet has made it possible for us to showcase our lives in the form of blogs and websites. Blogs are like diaries and we can write what we want, show what we want. You are given the opportunity to take a peek inside the true personal life of another person via their blog. You can take it or leave it. It's your choice. In blogs, we tend to truly speak our minds because like I mentioned earlier, its like our personal diary. Some of us choose to say things that others would not say on their blog but may be thinking at one time or another. Just because I or you choose not to share that doenst mean we dont think it or want to say it. We have the option of sharing a lot or a little. I normally share good stuff on my blog. I rarely, if ever, focus on the negative or post bad things but that doesnt mean I have a perfect life. It just means I choose not to share those parts of my life. My family and I are actually going through something right now but it's not up for discussion... I wont be sharing it...
I wish everyone could be happy. I know it wont happen overnight, if ever...but we can try a little harder...Life is precious...

I am happy...Are you?

Here are 2 things (my babies) that make me happy daily...

I also have a wonderful husband & family that is very supportive and loving...thank you...

Baby Fetching a Shovel

My 4 year old caught a frog! What to do!

Our 4 year old just found a frog on our porch. He said it was his friend and wanted to keep it so I gave him a salsa jar to put it in. (We poked holes in the top so the frog could breathe). He named the frog Frogger. Wow! What a surprise! A few minutes later he said the frog was missing his Mommy and Daddy so he wanted to let it go. So in a little while we will be taking a walk up to the lake to let the frog go ( so it will hopefully be reunited with its Mommy & Daddy). Our 4 year old boy was being empathetic! I'm so happy! I hope it continues on to other things...

Here are some photos to enjoy.

I have a new favorite movie..Wicker Park

Ok, so I watched Wicker Park last night. I loved it! The tagline is Passion never dies! This is a must see movie if you are a Josh Hartnett fan like myself. He is definitely the hottest actor out there these days!

Wicker Park is romantic, gripping, and touching. It has some of the best music from a soundtrack that I've heard in a while. I'm always a sucker for soundtrack music. Strange & Beautiful from Aqualung and Scientist from Coldplay plays in the movie and they fit so well...
Here is one of my favorite quote's spoken by Matthew (played by Josh Hartnett) in the movie.
"When you see something from afar, you develop a fantasy. But when you see it up close, 9 times out of 10, you wish you hadn't."

Come and discuss your favorite actors and movies at our message boards for Moms...

Mini Pool Party for My Baby and Big Boy!

and I really mean mini pool party! Since we are currently living in a small apt. while my husband completes grad school, we have no yard to call our own and we cant have a big pool so we have a mini pool ( as you can see in the photos). Even though the pool is that small, our 2 amazing little boys still manage to have so much fun at their little pool party. We plan on going to wal-mart today and buying them a little bit bigger pool to get them through the hot summer! We've been to the public pool once so far and it's just too crowded for our kids and we are 2 1/2 half hours away from the nearest family pool. So, where are your kids swimming this summer? :)

Happy Pool Days,

Is it safe to drink milk? -milk and terrorism

I briefly watched a clip on CNN today about milk possibly being the target of terrorism. So, is it safe to drink milk? Should we be worried. I havent found much else out on the web and can't remember the website named on the news to get further information. Are you going to continue drinking milk normally?

Crayola Creative Cookie Studio Kit Review Tips

We bought the Crayola Creative Cookie Studio Kit this week and made it last night. We made the sugar cookies. It was fairly easy to do but also quite messy if you have kids under 5 putting on icing and painting the cookies.

All in all it was fun but it's not easy enough for a 4 year old to do even partially on their own. I didnt expect for my 4 year old to be able to bake the cookies or even roll out the dough but I did think the whole process should have went a little smoother than it did. If you want something tastier, try the smores or the brownies. I'm sure they will taste better than the sugar cookies.

Here is a photo of our 11 month old ( eating one of the cookies) and our 4 year old. That's blue food coloring from one of the cookies he painted blue!

Will Walk For Food

Our 11 month old finally decided to take his first steps today. The steps were to food. I was sitting down and getting ready to feed him some breakfast when he walked a few steps to me. Our baby walked for food. I wonder when he will begin walking for everything else. We are so excited about his first steps. These moments are so precious and he was totally adorable walking...

Baby Doesn' Like High Chair or CarSeat

Our 11 month old does not like the carseat nor the high chair. He screams endlessly in the carseat and it makes trips almost unbearable. We are constantly having to stop and take him out of the carseat. I've tried toys, food, singing 100 hundred songs but usually they do not work. He is always trying to move his way out of the carseat.

He does the same thing with his high chair. Somehow, he can maneuver himself out of the high chair and stand up in it. He wants absolutely nothing to do with the high chair. I usually have to end up feeding him sitting in the floor.

I'm confused! Is this normal? Does anyone else have a child who is this stubborn with car seats and high chairs? When my other child was this age he liked the carseat and the high chair...oh well,... I guess the saying is right...
