Hurricane Katrina and Gas Prices!
Wow! Gas prices are $3.09 per gallon here. That is ridiculous! It is at these times, that I am really happy that I am a work at home mom. No money is spent on gas at all! One can assume that gas price increases is partially due to hurricane Katrina and possible price gouging! In some areas, gas is much lower and in some areas gas is higher. I think it is being taken advantage of in our area. I woke up at 3:30 am this morning to my 14 month old crying with a bellyache and stuffy nose. He hasn't quite gotten over this cold yet. It seems like he has had it for over a week. As we were sitting on the couch, I watched news coverage of Hurricane Katrina and the major flooding, looting,etc... The flooding and devastation was unbelievable! It seemed like a lot of people were looting but some of the stuff were for much needed items such as food and diapers. For the people living there, there is no place open to shop and they need supplies. Organizations need to be there to handout supplies and necessities to people in need if they want the bulk of this to cease. These people need help and there are tons of people, organizations, and help centers in this nation that have money and connections to help. This was horrible and it doesn't even seem real. But it is all too real for the people that live in these areas. My thoughts and prayers go out to them. For Hurricane Katrina news go here.

Bike Trick Photos - Preschooler
  Ok, so my preschooler loves doing tricks on his bike. I took tons of photos this past weekend of him doing some bike tricks. He is such a cutie! He is going to be a bmx or motocross star someday! :)

Baby Tooth Accident
Our little man ( will be 14 months on Saturday) had an accident today and chipped one of his front teeth. It really hurt him and almost made me cry. I felt so bad for him and so helpless! He has really been getting into things lately and he loves to imitate his 4 yr old brother. I guess that is what 14 month old's do! I found some information online and I will call his doctor and dentist just to make sure everything is fine. I am sure it is since it is barely chipped but still I want his tooth fixed. Has your baby ever chipped a tooth or do you know anyone who has?

Balancing Working From Home and Family Time at Home
Lately I have been guilty of spending too much time working at home. I have really wanted to grow my home businesses and that has been taking up a lot of my time during the day and it's not good. My main reason for wanting to work from home is so I can spend my whole day concentrating on and spending my time with my two precious boys. I dont know how I have lost sight of that. They are the most important thing in the world to me and as of today, I will be working less. I will still try to grow my business as much as possible but I am going to do less of the completely unneccessary things. I may even hire a virtual assistant soon. That is something I have wanted to do but felt like I couldn't afford but it looks like it may be something I need to do to help me balance my daily life. I am also going to completely stop working on weekends unless it is an ABSOLUTE necessity! I think everyone should really sit back and think about what working from home really means...I have realized it all too well today!

Fingernail Cutting Battles with Baby and 4 year old
 That face isnt so cute during fingernail/toenail clipping time! My two boys act like they are terrified of the fingernail clippers. My 4 year old literally takes "fits" when I go near him and tell him it is time to clip his nails! I finally have to bribe him into cutting them or else he would let them get so long he'd look like a wicked witch! The baby just squirms while I cut his and he is still young enough to where I can kind of hold him still while I clip them. It's a struggle every time it is nail clipping time in our house. Why are they so terrified? Since when does nail clipping hurt?

Prolonging Baby's First Haircut
 Ou son is 13.5 months old and has not had his first haircut. I really don't want to cut his hair because I think he looks cute but my husband insists on cutting our baby's hair soon. I'm back and doing to much work!
So I left town for a few days and everything was fine. Now I am back and nothing works. This seems to happen to me quite often. I have 2 sites that are down for unknown reasons so I have been working all day on getting them back up. Hopefully they will be back up tonight-atleast partially since I lost quite a few files in the process! I feel like giving up and going to get a regular job outside the home when stuff like this happens and I constantly lose money over it. But I'm not giving up because this weekend my husband and I came up with a good plan and we have a certain amount of money we want to be making within 6 months and I really want to try and make it work before I run out and get a "real" job in the "real" world!
