Christmas Noodle Craft

Ok, so yesterday my 17 month old son got into our kitchen cabinet and opened up a box of noodles and they poured all into the floor. So today I decided that we were going to use those noodles for a cute Christmas craft. Thanks to ideas from my online friend Dejuana - from Mommy Knows Best, we glued the noodles to paper and painted them. My 4 year old really got into this and he LOVED it!
Here are some instructions if you would like to try the Christmas Noodle Craft.

First we shaped the noodles into a snowman and then we glued them onto the paper. After we let the glue dry, he painted the snowman a rainbow of colors. We used Crayola craft & fingerpainting paint. Then we made a candy cane shape. They are sooo cute!
Here is a photo of our Christmas Noodle Craft.

Here is what you will need to make this fun homemade Christmas craft

a cup full of dry/uncooked macaroni noodles
watercolor or fingerpaint with a variety of colors
paint brush
kid's glue
construction paper

Enjoy!

A Photo of Me & Baby Brother taken by our 4yr old...

Here is a photo as promised from Thanksgiving. That day was hectic so we didnt do much picture taking which is really unusual for us. I meant to take pictures but somehow just didnt end up taking many...anyway, my 4 1/2 yr old wanted to take some pictures with my camera while we were all getting ready to leave to go eat Thanksgiving dinner. It turned out surprisingly well...lol...here it is..it is of me & our little man (the baby brother).

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and are getting ready for the holidays coming up soon...I hope to be blogging more too! :)

The Cold Weather is here! Happy Early Thanksgiving!

The cold weather is finally here. After days of temperatures being in the 60's & the 70's, it's finally cold enough to wear coats, hats, gloves, and scarfs. We finally have a chance of snow showers from tonight until Friday! We would love snow for Thanksgiving!

These photos are from my 2 cuties from a couple of days ago on their first real cold day of the season...yes, somehow my 4 yr old managed to get into some dirt...

Is it cold where you are? Do you like when it snows?

To all my family that I wont see on Thanksgiving and to those I will see, to my friends, and my friends online...I wanted to say Happy Thanksgiving to everyone early! We are traveling today and I may not be back online until late Thursday or Friday. I hope all of you have a wonderful day!

My son has a catnip mouse in his mouth...

Our 16 month old found a package of catnip toys that our 4.5 yr old had gotten for his cat Simba. He came running through the house with a catnip toy in his mouth and I just couldn't resist snapping a few photos of him with this in his mouth...then I realized that it had catnip in it and that catnip may be poisonous to babies so I took it away from him.

Anyway, here is what I found out about catnip. I don't know why I am sharing this but I thought oh well...someone else's baby may have also played with a cat toy once or twice and they may need this information...

1.) Obviously catnip is for cats. It produces feelings of euphoria for the cats. It's a recreational herb for cats.
2.) Catnip is used in salads sparingly.
3.) People make catnip tea for colds and other medicinal purposes.
So I've come to the conclusion based on my research that catnip is not poisonous and it's ok..for more information about catnip and it's uses go here.

Wizard, Ninja, or a Wizinja Boy?

Our 4 year old boy loves playing dress up and his imagination runs wild while doing so! He put this outfit on and ran through his nanny's house with such a big smile across his face! He was a wizard then he was a ninja. I don't think he could quite decide on what he wanted to be. So I appropriately suggested a Wizinja..lol... Here's my cutie...

Our Thanksgiving Turkey Coloring Page Printout

My 4 1/2 year old loves to do crafts for every season and I love to help him! For Thanksgiving we are working on some cute Thanksgiving printouts. He got this idea from his cousin who had to create a Thanksgiving turkey for school. There are tons of free thanksgiving turkey printables, printouts, and coloring pages online for free. We found a few that we liked and printed them out yesterday. Then we decorated them together. We used glitter, glue, markers, crayons, stickers, and a few other decorations. Above is what one of our preschooler's Thanksgiving turkey printouts turned out like.
For more Thanksgiving Turkey Printables I suggest going to these sites
