Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah...

It's still Christmas Eve Eve...but I've got so much to do so I thought I'd go ahead and wish everyone and their family a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Kwanza, and anything else that is celebrated that I can't think of at the moment! We will be back in a few days! My two little boys are so excited!!!

Have a wonderful time with your families! Here are some wonderful quotes that I found today and wanted to share...

"The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree: the presence of a happy family all wrapped up in each other". Burton Hillis

"And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more". Dr. Seuss

A little too much SpongeBob & Toy Story...

Ok, it seems as though Spongebob Squarepants and the characters on Toy Story have taken over my 4.5 year old son...

Today he looked at me and said, "Everytime I get nervous, I fall down and do this and everytime I get nervous I leave the lights on!". I was like, where did you hear that? Guess where he got that from? Yep, you may have guessed it -Spongebob Square Pants!

And half of the day he has been going around saying, "No one look 'till I get my cork back in!" courtesy of Pig/Ham from Toy Story 2. That one just cracks me up! :)

On another note, we are almost ready for Christmas. Most gifts are wrapped. I have some more last minute shopping to do tomorow and then we will be all set to travel on Saturday! I just wish that more people were more interested in the family time than the gift giving time this holiday season.

Snow, Photos, & Words from Our 2 baby boys!

We finally got some snow. It was only about 1/2 inch but my 4.5 yr old still loved it! He was even able to make a small snowball! He was thrilled!

Words from our 4.5 year old: A little while ago he came up to me and said, " Mommy I love you so much! I love you 150 years!" ...And a few days ago we were watching a Bob the Builder cartoon and Wendy was watering flowers and she was talking about how she was watering them to help them grow. My 4.5 year old turned to me and said, "Mommy, why didn't water make me turn 5?" I just love some of the stuff my kids say even if it doesn't make any sense to anyone else..it makes perfect sense to me!

On another note, our 17 month old boy learned a new word today. He can now say cat. He has been saying MEOW for a while now! It's so cute!

We are off to visit family for a few days! I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful week!

Which of Santa's Reindeer are you?

I stole this from Karen's Blog...

You Are Rudolph

Sweet and shy, you tend to be happiest when you're making someone else happy.

Why You're Naughty: You sometimes stick that nose where it doesn't belong

Why You're Nice: Christmas would be a sad affair without you!

No Snow For Us!

We didnt get any snow even though there was 100% chance forecast for snow...we got rain instead...but several if not all states north of us got the expected snow...my 4.5 year old was disappointed. He kept asking all evening and night when the snow was going to get here and it never did. I felt so bad for him. I am hoping we will get some snow soon for our two boys to play in. Our youngest who is 17 months has never even been in snow.

Have you or your kids been dissapointed in anything lately?

My Boys are ready for Snow and Christmas!

We are supposed to get some snow tommorow! My 4 1/2 year old boy is so excited! He wants to build a snowman and go sledding! My youngest one is ready for Christmas...he is constantly getting into the tree and the ornaments...he even knocked the entire tree over. I had to fix it all over again but it was funny!

Do your kids want snow or Christmas more?

10 random things about Amanda

I've been tagged by my friend, Karen ( who, I might add, has a great blog. She's a mom too! I dare you to check it out).

So this is for you, K! 10 random things about me.

1) I love cats! I have a cat named Simba but he is temporarily living with and being spoiled by my parents. We (meaning my mom, dad, and sisters) had around 15 cats inside our home when we were younger.

2.) I'm petite. When I say petite..I mean very..I'm 4'10ish...

3.)I look young for my age. Most people think I look atleast 10 years younger than I really am. I say these people are crazy. They dont look close enough.

4. I only take showers. I don't take baths. You can say that I have a phobia.

5.) I love my 2 boys and husband more than anything. We are inseparable.

6.) I can't eat spaghetti without putting ketchup all over it first.

7.) I'm extremely unorganized. At one time I had my tax information, check stubs, and accounting information stored in the glove box of our car.

8.) I love wearing flipflops. I would wear them year round if it didnt get so cold here during the winter.

9.) I love watching movies that make me cry.

10.) I have very strong opinions on todays's hot topics/issues. I just choose not to share them most of the time.

Perfect Mom Christmas Gift

My four and a half year old son has such a big heart. He told me that he was going to get me a box full of hearts for Christmas. (Hearts equalling love) He told me today while we were eating dinner that he had to start making them because he was making tons of them all for me...I almost cried at the thought. He also said I needed a new pink shirt...lol...He is such a sweetie...thoughtful just like his daddy!
So what is the perfect mom Christmas gift? Moms, what do you want for Christmas? Are you getting your mom a Christmas gift?

I included a cute angelic photo of my son that I took earlier this year. It's one of my favorites!

What's your attraction to Nip/Tuck?

Nip/Tuck is among the most watched tv show among 18-49 year olds. It's called the disturbingly perfect drama. Is it? What is your attraction to Nip/Tuck? Why do you watch it? Really, what is it about the show that makes you want to tune in. I have heard so many bad things about the show but I must admit I watch it and I won't miss an episode...

I'm also drawn to Lost, Invasion & Grey's Anatomy. What's everyone else watching?
