Stitches, Disney on Ice, and Batman Begins!

I've tried to sit down and write a blog entry since I got home Tuesday evening but haven't really had the time nor the inspiration to do so. It seems like every time I start to write, I have to get up and do something else...lol...
Anyway, The title of my post is a combination of stuff that our family has been involved in since last weekend (I'm sure you'll figure that out though :) ) Below is my story. Keep in mind, I'm not a very good storyteller...you will have to bear with me on this one...
We went out of town last Thursday so that we could take our 2 boys, ages 4.5 and 19 months, to see Disney on Ice and to visit with family ( the in-laws). We arrived late Thursday evening.
As our boys were getting ready for bed with mamaw & papaw, hubby and I decided to watch a movie. Well a few minutes into Batman Begins, I heard our 19 month old start screaming! I ran into the bedroom and our 19 month old had hit his head somehow on the closet door and split his forehead open. Blood started squirting everywhere and I started freaking out! Our 4.5 year old was freaking out too as well as hubby as soon as he saw it! We rushed him to the ER after we controlled the bleeding. After a long enough wait in the ER, the doctor put in 10 stitches. Having my helpless crying baby held down for 30 minutes while trying to put in stitches really really bothered me. It was worse than seeing the blood squirt out of his head. But we got through it and got home by 3am on Friday morning.

Friday was spent just sitting around watching the kids play and making sure our 19 month old was okay. We went to Disney on Ice on Saturday. Both of our boys LOVED it! Our 19 month old clapped the whole time. Our 4.5 year old was mesmerized! Hubby and I enjoyed it too!
We spent the rest of the weekend and up until Tuesday morning doing pretty much nothing except play with our boys! When I wasn't playing, I was reading a book. I actually finished reading a book and was able to finish watching Batman Begins. Bye the way( off the subject..but...), Batman Begins was a great movie. My favorite Batman movie yet! Christian Bale was amazing as Batman and CillianMurphy was perfect as the Scarecrow.
Ok, so enough about my weekend. Friday is here again and it's the beginning of a new weekend. My son's stitches come out in less than an hour from now. I just hope this experience is better than the last...
Has your child ever had stitches or anything else that required a trip to the ER?

AWWW poor thing! :(
Poor kid, that is the WORST
My daughter split her chin open once but they didn't want to put stitches in since it was so close to her mouth, but I've never seen so much blood.
10 stitches...OMG! That's huge! Poor guy! Bless his heart! (Kids'll do anything for attention :p)
Disney on Ice...how great is that? The first time I took Jacob I cried. Just the memory of me going with my parents and getting to share that with my son...priceless!
Jacob fell down the steps when he was 18 months and cut his forehead pretty good...still has the scar. Just a week after it healed he fell down the steps at my parents house just as they were taking him to an amusement park. He scraped up this little face pretty good.
I've linked you up...
awwww :( Ouchie!
Oh!
It's very cute!
