When Life Gets in the way...
Wow..it's been a week since I have blogged. I went out of town on Friday and came home Sunday and it seems like I have been busy ever since. My two boys along with working on some of my websites have kept me busy for a while and will continue to keep me busy for a little while longer.
As spring comes along, I'm outside more, exercising more, and my oldest starts spring soccer so I'm around here less. But I promise I'll try to keep up as much as I can. Some days I have tons to blog about and well on other days I just don't have anything too entertaining to share.
My typical day consists of waking up, drinking coffee, working from home, making breakfast, lunch, and dinner, cleaning, playing, cleaning some more, working some more, playing again, and well you get the picture! Plus there's talk of farts and poop all day long. Oh, the joys of having all boys...lol...
Well, that's my life and seriously I wouldn't trade it for anything...
So, what's your typical day like?

Oh a typical day. Well on a Monday to Thursday, Get up at 5:30 am, get some coffee, take a shower, take the dog out, feed the pets, dry my hair, wake up the kids, make them breakfast, put makeup on, get the kids dressed, take dog out again, get me dressed, get the backpacks and all, take son to the neighbors, take daughter to school, go to work, leave work, pick up kids, come home, make dinner, do homework, do some laundry, and on and on and on.
Hope I didn't stress anyone out by reading that :)
lol...It's neverending isn't it?
Thanks for sharing your typical day...wow..yours makes me tired...
Well, things are getting busy for me too, so I empathize with you! I love my life, but it gets overwhelming sometimes. I'd kill for some UNDERWHELMING right about now. I get up, feed Leah, check my work voicemail. If I have anything pressing on there, I let Leah hang out and I get some work done. Then I try to eat something myself (if I remember), and play with Leah a little bit. Once she gets tired, I put her down for her nap around 11:30 or so, and take a shower, get dressed, and try to get as much work as I can done before she wakes up. Oh, meanwhile I try to remember to take something out for dinner. LOL. Then I do personal stuff (blogs, my t-shirt designs, etc.) online throughout the day. When Leah gets up, we play a little bit. If I have a LOT of work to do (which it's been BAD lately) Leah plays, jumps in her jumper, whatever..and I work work work.
It is awesome that you are so happy with your life...that is what is important~
My typical day is so ... well ... typical. My daughter wakes me up with her booming voice. She has to have breakfast immediately. Then we watch a Baby Einstein video, I shower, we get dressed, and then we're out the door so I can go to work and she can go to school/daycare. Sounds much smoother than it really is!!!!!!
Very typical here as well. Waking up to my beautiful son, feeding him breakfast, giving him a bath, play, play, give him a nap, play some more, try to get housework done, play more, feed him, and play some more. Basically that is what we do and it is wonderful. My 7th month old is my life-what a great life it is!
Well, I get up. Get my daughter up. Fix breakfast. Get her ready for school, then off to school. Fix my son breakfast. Get him dressed. Wash the laundry. Wash the dishes. Scrub both bathrooms. Clean my parakeets. Feed 2 dogs, and the cat. Clean the catbox. Clean the hamster. Make the beds. Pick up all rooms. Sweep and run the vaccuum. Fix a snack for my 10 yr old. Get her home, do her homework with her. Fix dinner. Get everyone a bath. Get everyone to bed! That is my day lol.
Alarm, coffee, computer, wake up the kids, shower, wake up the kids again, nag the kids until they actually get OUT of bed, make a quick breakfast, take the kids to school, stop by the grocery store/Wal-Mart if needed, home, more coffee, housework, computer, play with the baby, feed the baby, put the baby down for a nap, enjoy a few minutes of peace, more housework, make lunch, eat before the baby wakes up, computer, feed the baby, play with the baby some more, clean some more, pick up the twins, come home, help them with their homework, start dinner, clean while dinner is finishing up, get everyone fed, clean the kitchen, TV time with the kids, bathe all three kiddos, story time, bed....ME TIME!
I was just thinking of your crab rangoon story today. "Mom can you not make Chinese anymore." I still giggle.
I was visiting The Martins today. She's looking for a job at home. I told her about your other blog. Maybe she'll get in touch with you.
Yeah, I forgot computer time lol! That is just squeezed in sporadically. Also outside and playtime. If it is pretty, all of the housework has to get done early or just wait!
I was also visiting The Martins and found you. I also posted your site for 'working at home moms' on my blog, getting this word out is awesome! Hope you don't mind! After reading a little, I may have some questions. Thanks and love your site! Come visit us sometime!
Hi Shannon. feel free to email me or leave comments on that blog if you have questions. You can also join the forums and ask questions. I havent done much with those forums lately though and they are filled with SPAM. However, I do have another forum here at ContestForMoms.com where its all moms and we have a work at home section where you can also ask questions. If you'd prefer to ask questions in private then just email me.
Thank for you for posting my site and blog.
If I didn't work outside the home, I'd never have time to blog. Which is why my weekend blog posts are minimal. Sometimes I don't even remember to turn the computer on.
gi there,
well thats true. babies and children do occupy a lot of time from their parents life. well not from my experience coz i still dont have kids but from my sister's experience i can say that.
the activity thats requires maximum time is traning the kids espcially potty training. its just too tough to train them.
