Bed time Advice Gone Wrong...
Imagine going to bed at 12am and being woke up by your wide-awake-ready-to-play toddler at 3am. That is what happened to me last night when I put my toddler to bed EARLY. That was a bad idea.
We played from 3am until 6am. I read the truck book about fifteen thousand times while begging my toddler to lay down on the couch with me to go back to sleep. He finally decided to go back to sleep at daylight. Around 8am, the 5 year old comes running into the living room and wakes us up with loud Spongebob cartoons.
I feel disoriented...even after downing several cups of coffee. Stay tuned to see if I make it through the day.
By the way, I won't be taking anymore bed time advice from anyone.

UGH. I hate when people tell me to put my kid to bed later so she'll sleep later.
She is on my huz's schedule - he's at work this week at 5am - she was up at um 5am. It sucks. Doesn't matter when I put her to bed.
I would DIE! I can't function without my precious sleep, lol. Leah has been on occasion waking up in the middle of the night crying (from nightmares I presume) but I have learned to leave her be because otherwise I find myself on the couch, rocking her, trying to get myself back to sleep! LOL.
Thanks to your comments! I'm still here and ALIVE! LOL..
Well I meant to say thanks for your comments..LOL...Can you tell I'm still disoriented?
I'm going to bed soon! :)
You poor girl! I hate when the kiddos do that because I can't function! Listen to yourself and you know your kids better than anyone else.
How early????? LOLOLOOL?????
When Em wakes up I usually try to just pretend it isn't happening until it is no longer happening. I figure he will be in a big boy bed in about 6 months so I'd better enjoy this method while I can. (he always goes right back to sleep, or plays with his toys...so it's not being mean)
Well I guess maybe you took my advice?? Sorry-worked for me. Anyhow, even if my son son went to bed early and did that I WOULD NEVER LOL play with him in the middle of the night. That is a disaster waiting to happen. So I really hope that you got sleep last night. I early did you put him to bed??? LOL
Sorry about the bad advice....
I'm sorry hun. :( I don't put my son down early either - Learned the hard way like you that it doesn't work for my boy. That is why we just let him stay up until 10pm.
