A Blog Favor about Digital Cameras
Ok, so I mentioned on my "back from vacation" blog post that my camera was pretty much destroyed by water on vacation. I got too close to the water while taking a picture and a wave splashed my camera. The flash is dead and there is a big water spot in the lens. Otherwise it works perfect if you want to call that perfect. I know, I should have not gotten that close to the water with my camera but I wanted some cute photos of my son.
Anyway, I'm asking all of you out there in the blogosphere to help me out. I am shopping for a new digital camera and I need to know which one to buy. I've been looking at them for a week now at several digital camera review sites but havent found enough sample photos to make my decision. So I am turning to all of you.
Here is what I need. I need for each of you to tell me what kind of digital camera you use and send me in the direction to where I can view a few samples photos that you took with that digital camera so I can see what is out there. My price range is between $100-$300 (It's possible that I may be able to go a tiny bit higher than this) right now. If you own a DSLR then don't bother sending me a link to your photos because I cant afford one of those right now. LOL.
Below is a sample of a photo from my damaged digital camera. See the water spot? And I dont have a flash. I'm sure this camera can be repaired but it would probably cost alot so I'm better off buying a new digital camera.

I have a Fujifilm Fine Pix a205. I got it free with my Dell Laptop. It may only be 2 megapixels, but it takes just as good of a picture as a 5 megapixel camera.
Most of the photos on my Flickr are my camera. And all of my Self Portrait Tuesdays :)
Good Luck!
I have a fujifilm finepix A345. It's 4.1 mega pixels and I think it takes great pictures. It was a gift, but I think its about $200 canadian. I have pictures on my blog, chcassaday.blogspot.com. All the pictures are of my kids but some of them are in different light and they all look great.
sorry, can't help here... our digital camera is old... got it back in like 1999 or 2000... it's a nikon coolpix 880... i dont think they make it anymore... but back then, it was like $800!!!!! i remember getting it with tax refund money!
Hi,
I have a Sony Cybershot with 4.1 megapixels. I love it. Pretty easy to use, and the memory stick fits right into my computer. Pretty much most of my pics on my blog were taken with this camera.
I am not sure of the cost, as it was a Mother's day gift from my husband a few years back.
I have a Canon PowerShot SD450 Elph. I LOVE it. I got it for $260 at Circuit City. It's a 5.0 megapixel.
Sorry no advice but your picture is adorable I have a clingy 18 month year old to.It makes for a hard day sometimes.
Char
I have an HP Photosmart that I got brand new from eBay for dirt cheap :)
BTW - even with that water mark, your son is ADORABLE!! Totally huggable!
I have a Kodak EasyShare. I love it. I know it could take better pictures if I really wanted it to, but I never try. This is my 2nd Kodak EasyShare, I just keep upgrading.I'm itching to upgrade again.
Ditto with the Sony Cybershot. Love my little camera for the price it was. Of course I dream of a better one when I have a extra couple hundred lying a around!
The water spot doesn't look all that bad. And? A lot of my best shots of my girl were taken without the flash!!
