Do your husband's know you blog?
Being the computer geek that my husband is, of course he knows that I blog and he even reads it on occassion. But he has never actually commented on it that I know of.
Anyway, the topic of blogging had come up because I wanted his input on a "blogging job" I had been offered and in the course of our conversation he was like, " I don't get why all of you blog. I really just don't get it and why would someone pay you to do it? " I tried explaining it but whatever.
Then he went on to say something to the effect that most of what he has read from blogs was complaining and griping and putting down husbands. He was like we ( referring to himself and other husbands) don't put you all down and talk about what we don't like about you out in public so why do you? And that, folks, made me think. He's ACTUALLY right. Anytime my husband ever mentions my name to his friends or colleagues or in a forum or anywhere, he ALWAYS has something AMAZING to say about me. He makes me out to be the hottest most special woman and mom in the entire world. Seriously. And, he means it. Except for the time he told his forum members that I was a bad cook. But I can get over that. You can't really compare being a bad cook to being a bad lover now can you? And, no I'm not referring to the hubs as a bad lover. I'm just using that as an example.
Well, anyhow, he knows that I rarely discuss those kinds of topics and now you know why. LOL. (Um, because he reads it).
Then the hubs went on to say that women would complain no matter what and he even went as far to say that if a woman had the chance to sleep with Matthew McConaughey ( Yum! Hot!) that she would end up complaining about him after a few weeks because that's just the way a woman is. I couldn't stop laughing at this point.
So, I'm just wondering what your husband's think of you blogging? Do they know you blog? What if they blogged about you?

I try and keep my venting to a minimum. I don't want my blog friends and mother (who is a regular reader) getting a skewed version of him in their heads. My husband knows that I blog but he dosen't read it that I know of. I don't think he would understand why we do it either.
I don't usually speak my mind much at all on my blog ;) I use it for pictures and fun updates. I am a private person and try to keep most things to myself online and offline. Just who I am. So, yes, hubby knows I blog but he isn't worried.
Since I really need to vent I haven't told my husband or any family about my blog and I don't intend to. I would spend all of my time being afraid that something would cause a war.
My hubby knows that I blog and I know that he has read it. I don't know why he would want to read it. It's pretty boring. I don't know if I have griped about him on it. I can't remember. Old age. I agree with your hubby though. It seems as if women complain alot more about their relationships and even if the guys have a complaint, they usually keep it in the home and not all over the world.
My husband knows I blog but he doesn't really read it. He has pointed out that he looks like a total moron according to my descriptions of him but I think he actually looks like an endearingly funny doofus who I absolutely adore. Of course, if he made a blog about me I would probably poison him.
I din't think my husband's ever read my blog. If I did complain about him it would be minimum on a blog. I would much rather vent at your baords!
My husband reads my blog all the time. It is very rare I speak bad of him, mainly because although he is not perfect he is a very good man overall. There are times I get angry and want to vent, but I would much rather talk to a friend than vent on my blog. Just my thoughts..
My huz knows about my blog because he was the one who suggested I start one. I can hardly imagine my life without the stupid thing now... But yes, he knows about it and has strict instructions to never, ever readit, although I will occasionally read parts of it to him.
Thanks for all the honest comments everyone. Keep them coming.
My husband knows I blog and reads it on occasion. He says he goes to the site to see pics of our daughter. I think he really goes to see if I'm talking about him.
My DH knows I blog......he reads it at work when he's bored....he thinks it's great because it's 'about us'. He's easily pleased ;)
Mine knows. He doesn't read it though. He used to think it was just a place to talk bad about him, until I showed him it was not. He doesnt' care one way or the other I don't think. Mostly.
My husband knows I blog, but he hasn't wanted to read it yet. Still not sure why this is exactly, but he says that it's my space and he doesn't need to intrude on it. He's fine with me blogging though.
My husband was the one that started our famliy blog and I took it over after he lost interest and taught me how. I know that he reads it because I make him, he's my spell checker. He has now started up his own blog for tennis.
My husband reads my blog everyday, and even reads some of my blogroll. Part of the reason I rarely speak ill of him is because he reads and will get angry about it, but the other part is that generally he's a great father and husband. He has lots of things that annoy me to no end, but overall the good far outweighs the bad!
And hey, you got a blog job? A paid blog job? Do tell!
My husband know and loves our blog. (I think!) He even commented on it a few times, and I caught him commenting on my friends blog, too! (a very old and dear friend, we go way back) I would love to see him blog, I would love to read what's in that brain of his! I've even tried to talk him into a Myspace, nothing! Oh well!
