30th Birthday Ideas and More...

Yesterday I discussed my issues with turning 30 in this post and now I'm faced with another dilemna. Well, it's not a dilemna really. It's a choice I need to make quickly.

So for my 30th birthday, I can either have a big day-long costume party with family & friends (with a drunken after party) OR we (meaning the hubs, myself, and our 2 boys) can go on a mini vacation to the beach for 4 days. This would be during October. So, what should I do?

On another note, who watched Nip/Tuck last night? Is anyone else concerned about the storyline for this season? Surely they won't make Dr. Christian Troy gay, would they? Otherwise the show is going as expected and it held my interest especially after seeing Julian McMahon's ass. Normally, I'm not that into men's butts but this is a special situation. LOL.

The costume party sounds really fun, but I would opt for the beach. Very relaxing and one last hoopla before winter sets in.

Issues? With turning thirty? Try almost forty, sister!

Seriously, thirty is a good birthday.I found it empowering.

And I think you should have a big partayyyy! I had a blowout for my 30th and I'll never forget it.

Regarding Nip/Tuck, I'm sure Christian isn't going to be gay but I think it will make for some interesting twists and turns in the plot. The season previews look pretty good. I wonder if Brooke Shields will have a recurring role as Dr. Troy's therapist.

I'd go for the vacation. So needed over here! :o)

I'm 31 now, but I remember turning 30. I was so freaked out, I remember my mom turning 30. LOL Made me feel old. I think I made it through that year, though my son has been overheard saying his mom is old. LOL I remember thinking that about my mom when she was 30. LOL

If Christian is gay- I'm not watching because that is such an unbelievable plot twist after all his womanizing. Okay I lied, I'd still watch- I have to look at him at least once a week. I kind of dig his new haircut. That man is beautiful. His ass looks better this season, too. LOL.

What was with Brooke Sheilds? Wow. I didn't see that ending coming!

P.S. I am nervous about turning 30 too- I just hit 25 in may and I got all nervous about 25!!

I'd do a costume party- I love dressing up!!!

I say go for the vacation! You can always have a party, but vacations are so hard to schedule.

I was dreading turning 30, but it hasn't been bad so far. (all three months of it) We didn't do anything special, sadly, and I kind of regret that.

I say go to the beach and then come home and have the party! ;)

You only turn 30 once right?
