This Momma Needs A Fitness Expert
Will someone who is a fitness expert please step up and comment here?
I'm 4'10 and around 85lbs yet after having 2 children I don't exactly look the same as I used to. This is what I look like now from my other post. I understand that I won't ever be the same as I was pre-baby but I've got to believe that something can be done for my mid-section other than plastic surgery.
I know I might sound vain but that's just me. Some people laugh at me when I say that I want to work on my stomach and get tone. I know some people are thinking that I should get over myself. They say I don't need to do anything and that I look great for having two babies. Well, the thing is this...I don't feel comfortable in my own skin. My husband says that when I look in the mirror I see something totally different than what most other people see. Well, I see jiggly fat and lots of extra skin. YES I have body image issues just like everybody else. And, to be honest, it's hard not to look the way I used to especially when everyone knows me for bouncing back.
Is it really possible to fix the post-baby stomach. Someone show me some proof please and tell me how you did it or how you are doing it...
And, just to let you know what brought this rambling on...um, I tried on that black VS swimsuit yesterday and hate it.Labels: exercise after baby, mom fitness, mommy, motherhood, post baby

Wow, Amanda - you really are petite!
I'm am truly in no position to give any advice in this area whatsoever. I'm a fatty fatty bomobolatty. And I can't even blame it on pregnancy because I wasn't at my ideal weight when I got pregnant!
My hubby claims this works for your abs - lay on the floor on your back, raise your legs a few inches, then raise them up, out (make a v), together and then back to the few inches from the ground. Oh and hold your arms a couple of inches off the ground while you do this.
It is one of the exercises he had to do during bootcamp, and you know how cut military guys end up! LOL
My oldest is 14 & my youngest is 12 and my stomach finally started looking normal about 4 yrs ago. I do not do any stomach exercises but I am very active. I'm 5'1" and weight 105 lbs. Just do the best you can.
My hubby recommended the same boot camp exercise, maybe I should get my butt in gear and try it!
I feel your pain. Although I'm losing weight I still have that tummy. My mom does too. I don't know how realistic it is to think we'll lose it all...unless we get a tummy tuck.
