Shrek's Babies...WTH?

Have you all seen these crazy looking Shrek 3 baby dolls? I mean, seriously, what little girl (or boy just to be PC) is going to like that doll? These things scare me and I'm an adult. I couldn't imagine having one next to me while I slept not to mention they look like little alien babies. C'mon are kids really wanting these things?

I looked online and saw that they were sold out in many places but guess what, you can get them on Ebay! OMG! I saw them trying to be sold for upwards of a $100 bucks.

And, if you just so happen to be one of those parents that are running out and buying your kid a Shrek baby, oh please tell me why? What is the attraction? Speaking of buying toys, I actually need to buy a present for my niece's 7th birthday party today. Do you think she'd be excited about one of these?

So I know I'm guilty of buying every version of a Spongebob plush doll there is for my son but holy crap these Shrek babies are FREAKIN' UGLY!

I know the Shrek movies are absolutely adorable and have had the chance to watch parts 1 and 2 with my 6 year old but the Shrek babies have gone too far.

If the masterminds behind the Shrek babies would just so happen to want to send* me one of these little dolls, I'd be happy to review it and videotape my kids reaction to it. They'll either love it or hate it! So, what are you waitin' for? ;) And, speaking of reviews, go on over to www.AMomsReview.com this week for some news and reviews! Be sure and add us to your reader because we have some great things coming for you!

* I don't seriously expect the creators of these Shrek babies to read my request but it sure would be funny if they did. And, that would show the world what kind of power us mommies really do have on line.

Well... LOL. I guess we are a freak family ;). My girls love their shrek babies. We got them this week on vacation and they have played with them everyday since! They usually fight over who gets to play with which one first.

I think they are cute in their own little way too ;)

Actually, these dolls strike -a ever so surreal resemblance - to this nightmare - I have been experiencing lately. The nightmare is about an ugly illiterate internet "troll" that hijacked my wifes blog. Are you the same "troll" hijacking my dreams?

BTW,(short for by the way). You reply was ignorant, illiterate and immature(III). Referring to someone, as a "bitch" - shows your lack of vocabulary and your lack of intelligence. It's perfectly
acceptable to disagree with another person's feelings. However, educated and civil people often do this in a manner referred to as constructive criticism. Name calling is a sign of weakness and jealousy. Which I sense may be the real reasoning behind your III response.

A simple - I disagree, these baby Shrek's are adorable would have been appropriate. The name calling was not needed here.

For your information, you are the one that sounds like a "bitch".

Sorry, everyone for interrupting this blog. But I cannot sit calmly when III internet trolls verbally harass my wife.

This post was intended to be FUNNY.
I'm sorry you didn't "get it".

Sure, I'd let my kids play with these toys if they wanted too and I'm sure they will get their fair share of them in happy meal toys as we go on vacation this week. I'll be sure and post those photos for you to see.

Try to not take things so seriously...

And, if you knew anything about me personally you'd know I am far from being a bitch...but I can be one if I need to! ;)

Amanda! You got a troll. A troll commenting on your blog! I think that means you hit the big time or something.

I'm not popular enough to have a troll.

I think we should name your troll "Crack." They didn't give their name, so we could assign one. I think "Crack" is good, but I don't' know...do I soind like bitch? I better quit cuz I'm inbarasing my self.

(I love that your husband jumped on to defend you. What a great guy!)

Ok I am half on the fence here, I think the girl one is far cuter than the boy.

Your DH is sweet with his defense of you to your troll! Good on him.

I think these are sooo cute, lol. Thankfully my kids do too. Course I love GREEN. I wanted to see if you were right and called my two girls in both screamed, "Those are shreks babies, I want one." hehe, we are a weird family though. My older daughter did want that ikkky baby alive doll too, so that isn't saying a WHOLE lot. lol

Of course my kids fell in love with those baby shreks too once they saw a commercial and are begging to get to the nearest Mcdonalds. Ugh! I just knew they would. LOL. But that doesn't mean I have to like these toys nor does that mean I think you should agree with me and feel bad for your opinion. To each his own...

SMILES. HEARTS. RAINBOWS. It's all good... :)

Wow. I'm ot sure if anonymous is that way because of their comment, or because they are embarrassed by being completely illiterate! I like the Shrek babies, but I am very far from being a mature adult when it comes to cartoons. Apparently I'm still in the 5-7 year old range with anything animated! Sorry the troll picked you to harass.

Well I just seen one of these babies for the first time today, my first impression, was how cute..I think want one for myself...As for the Anonymous Comment..My opion on that is very obvious to me being 40, have raised up many children and teens, young adults, and still currently doing so..This Anonymous is a young person or child i should say..probably a 10 to 13 yr old..

Gosh, ANONYMOUS 2, I didn't think most kids went around calling other people, especially adults, bitches! Hmmmm..I'll have to think about that..but I'm thinking NOPE NOT A YOUNG KID!

If anyone should be 'inbarased' it should be Annonymous! How can anyone with any amount of self respect rant on someone else about a perfectly reasonable opinion using such terrible spelling and think that that is OK - use a spell checker if you can't spell!!!! that is what they are there for!!! Phew - I giggled at your opinion regarding the Shrek Babies as I concur and was VERY please to see DH's response to annonymous!

My 6 year old son loves any and all things Shrek--he had his b-day party at the movie so we could see Shrek the third. He got a Shrek Build a Bear as a gift and when we went to stuff it they had Shrek babies that he had to have. I have to say they are cute, but, I would never pay any more than the $15 that we paid to get them.
