He's Decided The Carpenters Rock!

My nearly 3 year old son has recently decided that I MUST only sing Close To You by The Carpenters. So when he gets tired or just needs some entertainment he will tell me to sing "his song" and by "his song" he means this:
On the day that you were born
The angels got together and decided
To create a dream come true
So they sprinkled moondust in your hair
Of gold and starlight in your eyes of blue
That is why all the girls in town
Follow you all around
Just like me
They long to be
Close to you
All thanks should be given to the MIL. ;)
So, what song do you have to sing?Labels: Close To You, motherhood, Sons Favorite Song, The Carpenters

I love that song. Reminds me of the movie, Parenthood.
John M. is liking 'I Don't Want To' by Sugarland these days.
I love The Carpenters. Julia likes that song, too. She likes to sing "Aahhhhh, close to you!"
Lately, her song of choice, if I'm being honest, is "We're Not Gonna Take It" by Twisted Sister.
Oh that is sweet. I like me some carpenters too. ;)
