Wii Love You!

Normally our Father's Day celebrations involve a card, some hugs, some I love yous, and a night out for dinner or sometimes lunch. But this year I wanted to surprise my husband, and what better way to surprise him than to buy him something he really wanted but thought I would never ever ever buy him since I'm evil like that. Actually I'm not that evil. Just call me the budget/cheap queen.
So the boys and I got their tech-savvy Daddy the Nintendo Wii. He loved it! We loved it! It is more than the latest and greatest game system. It is a gift of togetherness. And, that is priceless! Not to mention a quick cure for buyer's remorse...

I love that you are not apologizing for Nintendo. Because I remember a celebration where my son, who had normally been very shy, got his first GAMEBOY and he and his friends and cousins had the most wonderful celebration. I told him about it in my book Love Mommy: Writing Love Letters To Your Baby, that was just published by ECW Press. Nintendo and Gameboy can provide lots of fun for the whole family and anything that brings you all together is a fantastic thing. Good for you for writing about it.
Great blog by the way. And you might want to check out my book Love Mommy: Writing Love Letters To Your Baby. (By Judy Siblin Librach, ECW Press.) I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Wow, a Wii! That's an awesome Father's Day gift. It's what Dave wishes he had gotten for Father's Day.
Wii Love it! Quite a surprise.
Emma wants one in the worst way, but cheap-budget mama is having a hard time parting with that money.
If this isn't too nosey, how much did you pay for the Wii and where did you get it?
