Kindergarten = Sick
Apparently Future Bam wasn't tormented by enough germs and illnesses when he was younger so he's paying for it all now in kindergarten. I guess this is what happens when your child has never attended daycare or preschool. Today makes the 3rd day that FB has missed school this month due to some kind of sickness. We've went from upper respiratory infection to a rash(the verdict is out on whether it was truly poison ivy or excema but it was BAD) to a fever & swollen tonsils in a 3 week period. Maybe FB needs a bubble???
I'm off to invest in some vitamin C and echinacea before the flu season starts otherwise we really might run into some trouble.

Yep, kids get sick. Mine were sick in pre-school. You can't do much but weather the storm. Wash hands the minute they walk in the door, baths daily. I think the best idea was from friends, they leave all shoes at the door, the kids just slip on Crocs or flip flops to run from house to house. Sickness has been reduced.

Becca started Sunday school and was sick for two weeks after.
Interesting about the shoes by travelingmom ... Becs sings the ABC's as she washes her hands as we leave now!
Yep my kids got sick alot their 1st year of school, after that they did MUCH better!

Don't forget oscillium -- that over the counter flu remedy. It's awesome.
Happens all the time with the little guys :( My son gets near a school or social gathering and he catches a bug :(
My youngest daughter started Kindergarten this year too and has been home sick once with Strep (yeck!). However, she's always complaining of a sick belly after school. I blame that on the cafeteria food though and if I were a better mom I'd take the time to pack her lunch. LOL

yep. Thats exactly what happens. I put my daughter in daycare when she was 2 and was sick for 2 months. I more recently put her in preschool and she never got sick...so this is just a phase that will pass once their immune systems catch up!
Oh, I'm sorry he's been so sick. Ugh. I think you're doing the best you can with the echinacea and vitamin c. I hope he's feeling better soon!
