Time Flies No Matter What

Tomorrow we will be celebrating our oldest son's 7th birthday. Future Bam actually turned 7 on the 20th but we usually celebrate on Saturdays so that all of our family can join us. It's hard to believe that my little baby boy is 7. I know, we all say " I can't believe such and such". We can't believe it but yet it's true. The moment is right there in front of us and passes so quickly. Doesn't 7 seems so much older than 5 or 6?

I really don't know what I'm trying to say here. Is it about me, the passing of time, or my son getting older? Or a combination of all 3? Right now my life feels like it is going by exponentially fast. So much faster than when I was a child. I wish I could have the childhood perception of time when one week seemed like a year and one day of waiting "took forever". Maybe then I'd feel like I was able to fully experience all that my children say and do. Maybe I wouldn't feel like I have missed some of these precious 7 years.

I wonder if this is something we all go through? This feeling of time flying by and never having enough time to just breathe, be in the moment, and really truly experience everything to the fullest.

Oprah Winfrey did a show recently on work from home jobs, here is a couple companies that were suggested on the show as legit. http://www.ebaydropshippingwholesalers.com I also found a couple blogs for both sites so you can see what other people have to say http://ebaydropshippingwholesalersreview.blogspot.com , I tried them, I made $731.92 dollars my first week. Your answers are there. good luck

I struggle with this, too. It feels like life is flying by! The good thing is, I think that's a sign of a full life.

You're right. Seven seems so much older than six. I don't know why, but it does.

Happy Birthday to your boy! And Congratulations to you! I think our kid's birthdays mean as much to us parents as they do to the kids. Congratulations on seven years of great parenting!

First, Happy Birthday to FB! :)

Next, I think all mothers feel the same way about the time flying once we have children. I don't know about you, but when we added a 2nd child to the family it seemed to go even faster. I don't want to imagine what it's going to be like once #3 gets here.

Maybe that's God's way of saying "Slow down, Mama!" I actually find myself longing for the days when our parents were children and it seemed that time stood still.

My middle DD turns 7 in May, time does go fast. I see this even more when I look at my almost 14 yr old DD. I'm hanging on to my youngest who will be 3 as long as possible.

Happy Belated Birthday FB!

I was googling to find articles concerning children starting kindergarten and your 2006 blog came up. We live in Alabama and the cut off date for starting actually falls on my oldest son's birthday. He is very tall for his age, so I know size will not play a factor. My husband, who is actually a principal, thinks he is ready because Carter does know his ABC's, numbers and can write his name. But sometimes I do still wonder if would be better to wait till he is 6. The fact that I would not be paying daycare does excite me, but we have an 18mth that will still be in daycare. But anyway, I just wanted to see what your final decision was on your son. Thanks so much and look forward to hearing back from you.
