Simply Explaining Therapy
My 7 year old son says to me, "Mom, What is Therapy?"
Perplexed and quickly trying to come up with a simple answer I said, "Well, sometimes when a person feels sad or bad, therapy is where they go to feel better."
He looks to me and says, "Well, on Fairly Odd Parents, Timmy Turner is sitting across from this man in a room and their not doing anything!" (Children are so much more observant than we give them credit for.)
I said, "Yep. That just about sums therapy up."
Then Future Bam rolled over, closed his eyes, and went to sleep seemingly pleased with the answer I gave him.
