Eat Out And Help Hungry Kids September 19-25, 2010

I wanted to share with all of you a cause that is near and dear to my heart – ending childhood hunger. There is no reason in this day and age that children should still be going hungry. I live an area where childhood hunger is prevalent and it is a heartbreaking scene. The reason I’m writing about this today is because I wanted to make each of you aware that every time you eat out/dine out from September 19,2010 through September 25, 2010, a portion of the proceeds will go towards helping eradicate childhood hunger courtesy of you, the participating restaurants, and Share Our Strength. Funds raised will go towards many programs to help get food to needy kids.

Some of the restaurants involved this year are Captain D’s, PF Changs, Buffalo Wild Wings, Shoneys, and Boston Market. To find out participating restaurants in your area, go here. You can also get more involved by participating in your very own Great American Dine Out Event and the tweet-a-thon on September 20th! If there is no participating restaurant in your area or for some reason you can’t dine out due to food allergies or other issues please consider making a donation.
