In many areas Springtime coincides with severe weather such as thunderstorms and tornadoes so we’ve put together some safety tips for our readers in those areas so they can stay safe.
1. Have a plan for severe weather. Have a plan for tornadoes, thunderstorms, and floods. Make sure your entire family (kids included) is knowledgeable and aware of the family plan. Make sure you have appointed a safe shelter.

6 Frugal Spring Activities To Do With The Kids
We officially enter a new Spring season on Friday March 20, 2009. To start the new season off with lots of frugal fun (that is if its warm enough outside) how about doing a few of these low cost or money-free activities with your kids!
1. Since it’s also “Spring” cleaning time have a yard sale with your kids. Give them the money earned to buy some Spring items they’ve been wanting such as bubbles, baseball, chalk, kids gardening tools, or even a new bike.
2. Go on a rock hunt. This is so much fun to do with kids. It’s also educational. Here’s a helpful rock resource with an online rock activity to do as well.
