litterbugiphoneappDid you know that there is an app (actually several) for helping you and your kids go green? Well, now you know and these five iPhone apps are fun as well as educational for every family! They range in price from free up to $1.99 per app.

1. First up we have the LitterBug for iPhone App by Heist

This is an edu-taining game about recycling perfect for preschoolers and up! Looks like tons of fun and will definitely on our “to buy” list when we get our son an iTouch for his birthday.

2. iStoryTime Mac, Mickey, and Mia Go Green

iStoryTime is a story app for kids. This is a great “Going Green” book for kids.

3.  Get Green by Zagg

Daily green tips are sent to your iphone ~ a great way to make more green choices!

4. Green Wars for the iPhone by Orangatank

This is a fun environmentally friendly game for older kids and parents.

5. Go Organic by Lit Interactive

This app is brought to you by the Organic Trade Association, Earth Day Network, and Music Matters.  Put in your zipcode to find stores that sell organic, provides organic coupons, and lists Earth Day events in your area.

I’d also like to mention a few apps that are in the works/coming soon from Zidware.com:  Eco Cow game for kids, Keep This Planet Clean, and a Green Guide For Kids.

Do you know of  any “Green/Eco-Friendly” iPhone apps for families that I missed? I’d love to hear about them.

Hi! Happy Earth Day! I wanted to let you all know about the first green iPhone game that plants real trees on Earth. Panda Hero, a brand new 5-star eco-adventure iPhone game, plants 3 real live trees on Earth for each download. Kids rescue and take care of adorable endangered pandas while they also plant real live trees. Check it out at http://www.pandahero.com , and ‘be a force for good’!
