I’ve been a fan of photography for as long as I can remember. However, once I became a Mother the photography bug really bit me! I bought a Nikon digital SLR camera in 2006 and haven’t stopped learning and creating art since. I’m in love with and totally passionate about creating artistic portraits of my children and my clients. Yes, I’m a part time photographer too …in addition to owning and editing here! 
There are many sites out there that can help you get started with learning how to take better portraits but the ones I’m going to mention are the ones I’ve either really learned a lot from or was very inspired by, and most recommend. I was overwhelmed with joy to see so many beautiful photos in our April free baby photo contest. I wish we could give prizes to all of you! 
We also noticed a lot of “professional” photos uploaded to last month’s contest folder that were indeed beautiful. Unfortunately we cannot include those types of photos in the judging portion of our contest due to copyright/legal reasons.
