Lazy Summer days are so much fun. A great activity to do with your family during the super hot Summer weather is to set aside a special reading time with your kids.

Here are 11 imaginative/fantasy type book series that would make great Summer reads for both boys and girls ages 7-10. These can also be great reads for younger kids as long as you help them read, or read the books to them out loud. Summer is almost here! Have you come up with a list of fun crafts to do with your kids? Each week I hope to highlight some fun and frugal ideas for families! One fun and relatively easy craft to do with your kids outdoors this Summer is rock painting! Read on for a list of instructions and what you need to get started! Here’s a photo of my 5 and 9 year old’s painting set up. We did this one indoors during early Spring. During the Summer I suggest you spread an old blanket or beach towel on the ground outside in early morning or late evening and enjoy!
