My 6 year old son loves Wheezy the Penguin from Toy Story. So for today’s home school art & craft lesson I decided we would make paper plate penguins plus learn more about a penguins life - what it eats, where it lives,etc. I came across various penguin paper crafts and settled on a mix between a few pictures we had seen online. Homemade Goop Recipe Without Glue + Photos
I was introduced to “goop” when I was in grade school and it was such a fun mess! Now that I homeschool my children I wanted to share the fun of goop with them. Since goop is messy I recommend making it and playing with it outside which makes this a fun Summer activity. Late Spring and early Fall will work good too! Lazy Summer days are so much fun. A great activity to do with your family during the super hot Summer weather is to set aside a special reading time with your kids.
Here are 11 imaginative/fantasy type book series that would make great Summer reads for both boys and girls ages 7-10. These can also be great reads for younger kids as long as you help them read, or read the books to them out loud. Get Ready For The First Day Of Kindergarten
I wrote this article a couple years ago when our son was starting Kindergarten in public school. We now homeschool but this is still a great resource for those kids getting ready to start public school or homeschool.
My son’s first day of Kindergarten is coming up soon. This will be a day of firsts, fun, and sure enough some anxiety! Many children, like mine, express fear and anxiety about going to school specifically Kindergarten since this is the formal beginning of school and it’s all new to them.
