Easy Paper Santa Hat Craft
Santa Claus is a pretty big deal during the holiday season for many children and families around the world..my kids included! Here’s a super easy paper Santa hat craft that your kids will surely enjoy creating! My boys 5 & 8 did this craft last week during our home school art class and they really enjoyed it! This craft is simple enough for ages 3 and up!
What You Will Need For Your Paper Santa Hat:
1. red construction paper
2. glue
3. cotton balls
4. other festive decorations like stickers, glitter, etc.
Instructions:
Create a paper cone/hat out of your red construction paper. Here’s a great resource on how to make that perfect paper cone which can be used as a hat. It’s best to have an adult make the paper hat beforehand.
Once the hat has been made, let the kids decorate the hat with cotton balls just like a real Santa hat would look like including a ball on top. Here’s what ours turned out like:
Our 8 yr old went a step further and created his own Santa beard out of cotton balls, printer paper, and string to tie it on with. Doesn’t he look cute?
