Is Bottle feeding right for me and my baby?

Bottle feeding and/or formula feeding is an individual choice. Bottle feeding can be the right choice for you.

What is the difference between bottle/formula feeding and breastfeeding?

There is an obvious difference in bottle/formula feeding and breastfeeding. One is natural the other is not. Formula is man-made but breastfeeding is natural milk from a mother. Experts do say that breast is best,  and that a child’s IQ is higher when breastfed. However, this does not mean that you have to breastfeed. I can’t stress enough how important it is to choose the option that is best for you and your child.

Why Should I choose to formula feed my baby?

Sometimes things prevent you from breastfeeding therefore you should formula feed.  Some women simply don’t feel comfortable breastfeeding. Overall, there are various reason moms choose to formula feed a child. Feeding your baby formula is comparable to breastfeeding.

Is formula healthy for my baby?

Yes, baby formula is healthy. Formula is a healthy comparable alternative to breastfeeding a baby.  However, I do encourage Moms to consider breastfeeding first.

When Should I stop giving my baby formula and/or a bottle?

Doctors recommend stopping bottle use at 12 months of age. Some babies wean earlier and some stop using the bottle a little later.
