How Can I Win The Free Baby Photo Contest?
We originally posted this in our forums but wanted to repost it to our audience here.
There is no exact formula to winning the ContestForMoms.com Free Baby Photo Contest. However, there are several things you can do to increase your chances of winning.
Here are the guidelines you should go by:
1.) Send in a snapshot that you took of your child. If someone else took a snapshot of your child you must have their permission to enter the photo. No professional photos are allowed. We do not allow studio photos, Wal-mart, JC Penny, or similar photos. If you upload a photo like this it will not be judged.
2.) A clear photo of your child. Please try to upload a clear photo. Sometimes we receive photos that are very blurry and/or dark and it is hard to judge the photo. Please keep this in mind when choosing the photo you want to include. Up close and clear shots always work well.
3.) Be creative & have fun! This is very important to us!
We love seeing creative photos that stand out. It makes us want to put them on our main page! 
If it’s Christmas time, you have a better chance of winning if you send in Christmas/holiday themed photos. Think about the month, the seasons, weather, and holidays and try to incorporate that in the photos you submit each month. You can always just keep it simple and neutral too. However, it’s unlikely for your child to win if you submit a child in a bathing suit during the winter months and vice versa. Also, don’t submit photos of your children in Halloween costumes in any month other than September and October.
4.) Include the Correct information. I cannot stress this enough. We’d like to have the first name of your child.
5.) Do not under any circumstances upload a nude or even semi-nude photo of your child. It will be deleted as soon as we see it. A photo like this will not be judged in our contest.
6.) Do not submit a very small photo. If we can’t see it, we can’t judge it.
7.) Submit natural looking photos of your children.
8.) Above all look at the winners page to get an idea of what we are looking for.

I just turned in a picture of my son. He was dressed as an Island Warrior. He wore a hawaiian necklace and an island wrap arroung. It’s half nude but we’re from an island and most guys here spend their whole day at the beach just wearing shorts. So its part of our lifestyle to wear less clothing since our weather is far from winter. I hope you don’t terminate us from the contest because of his “little” costume. If anything i’ll just have to find another one of his cute pictures.

If I may make a suggestion…I have seen a few nude pictures of little babies and its kind of disturbing even being newborns its inappropriate. How about banning the people with such pictures from further uploading pictures again if you find any nude, semi-nude or inappropriate pictures.

So I’m a little confused…i sent in pics , very natural upclose ones, and im unsure if the pics you are looking for are the ones with the baby’s all dressed up in hats and sunglasses and feather boas or the or the candid photos showing babys beautiful features???

I HAVE A QUESTION DO WE HAVE TO PAY TO JOIN IN THIS. MY OTHER QUESTION IS I WOULD LIKE TO JOIN IN BUT DO I HAVE TO DRESS MY BABY IN CERTAIN TYPE OF CLOTHES FOR FEBRUARY.
I looked thru the FAQ for the contest. I had entered my child. I was wondering if it’s a voting contest,so I could take the time and vote for other kids,or if it’s judge by people from outside the website? Let me know,so I can get to voting for those cute little kids.

Hi, im sorry but i had read the rules after summiting my photo and i had sent one of my son that i enhanced a little then i sent the same photo again that was enhanced but cant seem to delete the first photo im really sorry and hope that, thats ok
Angel, an enhanced/slightly photoshopped photo that YOU took of your child is perfectly ok to send in. we encourage creativity and the use of Adobe Photoshop, Paintshop Pro, Picasa, Picnik,etc… Thanks!
