Severe Weather Safety Tips For Families
In many areas Springtime coincides with severe weather such as thunderstorms and tornadoes so we’ve put together some safety tips for our readers in those areas so they can stay safe.
1. Have a plan for severe weather. Have a plan for tornadoes, thunderstorms, and floods. Make sure your entire family (kids included) is knowledgeable and aware of the family plan. Make sure you have appointed a safe shelter.
2. Keep a first aid kit, cell phone, supply of water, candles, flashlights, batteries, NOAA weather radio, and some non-perishable food items in case of severe weather.
3. Always check and be aware of the weather during these months - March, April, May & June as this is when thunderstorms and tornadoes are most common.

We live in GA and this is really important. Don’t forget your pets. Have your flashlights and cellphones charged and make sure your kids KNOW the plan! Great information!!!
