We have been renting this family home for the past 4 years and only this year did we attempt to paint the walls. The husband started and I don’t think it will get done anytime soon. Please I would love to walk in the room and feel like I have a piece of heaven

why doesnt kimberly clark, etc. ever pick a home makeover for an elderly couple. my house is full of odds and ends. have all wood floors, and had two cats that have ruined my furniture. i am 76yrs and husband is 74yrs (feels it is not worth doing more in the house). Have married children who do what they can but house is all mismatched and needs a really big shakeup. grace becker

I sure could use a new electric stove and actually remake my kitchen from propane to electric.. we live in a mobile home really old but home… and had a leak under our trailor. we disconnected the stove and oven from it and only have propane at this time for heating the house. so yes i sure would love to win.. and could use a new mattress for our bed as well…

I am retired and can’t afford to upgrade my historic kitchen as I am still taking care of my parents who are 91 and 92 years old. I am truly blessed to have both of them and my Dad still drives.I have upgraded thier home but I can’t afford to do anything for myself.

My husband and I bought our first home together 8 years ago with the intention of renovating this 30 year old ranch. Since then we have added a beautiful son now 3 years old. But we still are in desperate need of renovating the basement so that he has a place to play.
    We need help!

I’m in the process of retiring, was in an accident(on the job injury) (3/28/08) was let go by my employer, AFTER 18 YEARS of services. I’m now 64 and have more engery than a 40 year old.You can image the feelings I’m experiencing. I’m learning to walk again and would be thrilled to have a new bathroom with a shower. I can no longer lift my legs to get into the old fashion claw foot bath tub.I have a big 98 year old home and would feel so luck to be able to take a shower. I’m very grateful, that I’m a live, full of determination and you can’t keep a fighter down.

  26. Pamela ray on February 16th, 2009 3:55 pm

I could reall use this. Had to go on disability after working two jobs all my life and onthe year my house was supposed to be paid off I lost my home while waiting on my disability back pay. The mortage co. only had to wait 3 more months on my check. all that money lost. When my mom passed away I moved to the countey and found a decent mobile with my part of the estate I found a mobile home but it needs some minor repair . They sold it to me for only $9,000 because it needed one room fixed where the hot water heater burst and it needs new carpet and I really need a new furnace or heat pump because I keep my heat on 65 or lower and wrap up and my light bill was over 300.00 in Dec.I have a daughter with a rare blood disordrer not to mention my disabilitys and I am supposed to be on oxygen at night for sleep apnia but they said I went $30.00 over to get medicaid. So after all my hard luck I’m hoping to find a change. A blessing.
