When should my baby start crawling?
Crawling is a very important developmental
milestones for babies. Most babies learn to crawl around 6 to 10 months old.
All babies development differently so that is why we say 6 to 10 months.
Babies have to site well without support before they can begin to really
crawl.
Some babies even skip crawling and go straight
to standing or pulling up. Some babies decide to scoot instead of crawling.
Ways to encourage crawling in baby?
The best way to encourage your baby to crawl is
to place toys a little bit away from him or her just out of their reach.
This encourages them to start moving around and figuring out how to do so.
NOTE: Please remember and keep in mind that if
your baby was born premature that she or he may get to the crawling
milestone at a different time. Please consult a pediatrician if you feel
something is wrong or if your baby is not crawling in some form by 1 year
old.
