Steps To Get You Started On Having Your Very Own Profitable Online Business At Home

1. Create an online content website business.

2. Come up with a specific (niche) topic that you are interested in writing about. If you are not passionate about the topic, do not try to make a website out of it.

3. Once you have an idea, do your research. Find out how many people are searching for that term as well as variations of those keyword phrases. You can use overture.com or prsearch.net

4. Now go and look up your competition in google. What I mean by this is, type in your keywords in the google search engine and see what comes up. See how you can make a better site or at least a more search engine friendly site.

5. Buy a domain name preferably one with one of your keywords in it.

6. Now it's time to start building your website. You can use blogger or wordpress if you want to do a blog style site or you can use the traditional MS frontpage if you want to create a regular website. I suggest a combination.

7. For every page of content you create or article you write for your site, you will need to do keyword research at one of the sites suggested above. There is no limit to the pages of content you can create or the type of sites you can create. The more pages and articles you write, the more chances at money you can make. Another tip is to add content to your website at least weekly but preferably daily especially if you have a blog.

8. Once you get your site going you will need to do link exchanges and get other sites linking back to you without you linking to them. This will bring traffic to your site and help you get ranked well in the search engines. And, remember traffic = money (most of the time).

9. Implement monetizing programs on your site. Some ideas are:

Google Adsense, Yahoo Ads, affiliate fuel, clickbank, websponsors, and several other legitimate money making programs online.  In my experience, google adsense works the best. Some people are making over $100,000 per year with adsense alone. Wow!

10. One of the most important things you need to know is DON'T GIVE UP! It take time to get an online business going. Keep growing your business and you will eventually see results!
