I am attempting to create a mini in home portrait studio to take photos of my baby and preschooler. I am using cheap work lights and window lighting as my lighting equipment. So far, I have not produced any decent results…but I am having fun. Maybe I’ll have something good to show soon. Until then you will get this…

Keep in mind that I am an amateur and am devouring loads of information daily right now to figure out what works and what does not work. I am not using a digital SLR. I am using a prosumer/advanced P&S camera ( I guess thats what they are called).

This is the first test photo I took… It had lots of shadows ( not good). I am going to try out a darker background later and possibly some other stuff… Wish me luck…
