After visiting a sick relative in the hospital, we all came down with a mysterious 24 hour virus or something of that sort. We are recovering today.

Yesterday wasn’t pretty. I witnessed more puke than I ever thought possible. And, to top it all off, yesterday was our oldest son’s 6 birthday.

Here’s how it all went down on his 6th birthday:

Birthday Breakfast: Nothing

Birthday Lunch: Again, nothing

Birthday Dinner: A few sips of Gatorade

And then he fell asleep with a helium birthday balloon tied to his wrist.

On the upside, we spent the ENTIRE day laying on the couch together watching his favorite TV shows in between naps and puking.

Good thing his party isn’t until this coming Saturday…
